Hello! I’m Tahmina Hamid, Founder and Sole Educator of Smile for Success -and I’m here to help you succeed. At Smile for Success, I provide personalized academic support designed to meet you where you are. Every student has unique potential — a wellspring of curiosity and capability — and through one-on-one or small group sessions, I help you build confidence, master content, and develop skills that last a lifetime.

I grew up in the Bay Area and now live in the Conejo Valley, CA. I have 29 years of experience in the dental field, including 17 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Alongside my clinical experience, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management/Leadership with a minor in Education, equipping me to teach effectively, mentor students, and provide structured guidance rooted in both educational principles and professional leadership.

My journey began at sixteen, when I started working for my own family dentist as her custodian. Being exposed to multiple roles in the office sparked my curiosity and inspired me to pursue dental hygiene.

I know that pursuing a career in dental hygiene can be challenging. Sometimes it helps to have someone by your side to listen, encourage, and guide you through difficulties without judgment. My goal is not only to support your academic growth but also to provide a steady, reassuring presence as you navigate the ups and downs of your journey. Over the years, I’ve held many positions — from DA, RDA, Receptionist, Treatment/Financial Coordinator, to Lead Clinical Supervisor —and I’ve been fortunate to volunteer with several outreach programs in both the United States and internationally—experiences that have allowed me to serve diverse communities while staying connected to new developments in dental care and teaching. Through these experiences, I was able to understand the protocols, sensitivities, and requirements necessary to thrive as a team member working toward one common goal. I have also accumulated over 60,000 hours of clinical experience across private practices, corporate offices, and specialty settings.
